Who I am
Lauren Tinsley is a mezzo-soprano from Birmingham, AL. She has performed with houses such as Opera Birmingham in a variety of ways, such as staged performances of Billy Goats Gruff as Ernesto and Rusalka: The Littlest Mermaid as Sea Witch, and as a concert soloist. In 2024, Lauren took on the role of Dad/DeWitt in Evan Mack and Joshua McGuire’s world premiere of Dragon’s Breath. Her other roles include Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti, Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief, Madame Quickly in Falstaff, The Gingerbread Witch in Hansel und Gretel, and Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro.
Lauren received her MM in Vocal Performance from Samford University where she was a finalist in the Samford Concerto/Aria Competition in 2024. She received her BA from University of Alabama at Birmingham.
